Roughneck Concrete Drilling & Sawing Company is a family-owned business that provides concrete cutting, drilling and sawing services to clients throughout Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana and Southeast Wisconsin. Roughneck also sells diamond products and equipment to the construction industry.
Company president Karen Elin Johnson is the daughter of the company's founder, Ed Johnson. Karen started at Roughneck in 1990 and took over the day-to-day operation of the company in 1994. Roughneck Concrete first became certified as a woman-owned business in 1995.
As a certified woman-owned business, Roughneck Concrete serves clients such as general contractors, all types of subcontractors, corporations and property owners.
